ABOUT
Money Makin Moñet
Money Makin Moñet, first fell in love with Hip-Hop when she heard 2pac’s song “Dear Mama” (a tribute to his mom) because she could relate to his lyrics and shared the same feelings for her own mother. 2 pac inspired her musically as an artist but as she grew up she began to also study musical moguls like P. Diddy, Master P, Suge Knight and Jay-Z. Their success stories made her want to attempt to follow their blueprint of achieving great heights in the music business by starting an independent record label. These ambitions led her to go to college to study Business Management. She completed her degree and obtained her bachelor’s from Franklin University. While in college Money Makin Moñet and her brother Alvinoho was already a very established artist formed a partnership and registered their music business with the Secretary of State in Ohio to make Finito Records an official company. They began focusing on Alvino’s debut album Center of Attention. During this period, Ms. Moñet did not do much artist work instead she primary focused on building the company with Alvino. Hard work eventually paid off when the label landed a distribution deal and obtained additional business funding. In 2013, Ms. Moñet was constantly encouraged by loved ones to expand and start Indy label M3 Entertainment LLC which stands for her stage name Money Makin Moñet. During this transition, she became more focused on becoming an artist. Her first show she opened for rap legend Young Jeezy.
Her performance with her team was embraced with great reviews& she released a solo EP entitled Currency Exchange that same night which was also well received. During the next couple years, she dealt with a lot of tragedy in her personal life. Her beloved uncles James and Joe who believed in her majorly & supported her music career were arrested and convicted of drug trafficking and both received lengthy prison sentences. Shortly, after receiving this news she lost her best friend Desperado unexpectedly who was a well-respected rapper in Columbus, Ohio and the one who really made her believe in her artistic abilities. Despite these challenges, she continued to pursue her dream by releasing another project, shooting videos, helping artist, making musical connections, and performing at more shows. In 2018 Ms. Moñet worked closely with her brother Alvino and co-produced a mixtape entitled Finito Inn & Suites which received raving reviews, but in life you will always encounter ups and downs. After some business setbacks, she began to give up on her passion, so her uncle joe introduced to her formerly signed Universal artist QP. They began to form a strong business relationship and plan for their future in the entertainment world. Currently, M3 Entertainment LLC is focused on releasing a series of projects to gain more opportunities and to take the label to greater heights. (MANY ARE CALLED BUT FEW OUR CHOSEN MATHEW 22:14)
